Dia Rao is an experienced wedding and portrait photographer. Who's passion for wedding photography shows through her work. Her style is a perfect blend between photojournalistic and traditional, contemporary yet vintage. During this time, she also interned with Katie Moos Photography, and had the wonderful experience of working as a photographer's assistant at weddings. !N!N Dia is currently the Treasurer of the Professional Photographers of Santa Barbara County. And enjoys bringing a sense of camaraderie and photographic knowledge to the Santa Barbara community. She has photographed more than 50 weddings. Where are you located?
My studio is based out of Santa Barbara. However I photograph weddings throughout Southern California.
How do I find out your rates and packages?
We offer a variety of packages and services. For detailed package information or for custom packages use the contact form of our website, or call 805-895-2012 to check your date availability.
Do you charge extra for photography out of Santa Barbara?
There is no extra charge for weddings located in the Los Angeles, Orange County area. For questions about your location contact us directly.
Do you have an assistant?
I always photograph every wedding with a second photographer.
Are the negatives included or can I buy them?
The digital negatives are included in every package. That way you have the option of ordering prints directly from me, taking them to your local lab, or even printing them out on your own computer.
How long before I see my images?
After your wedding, your images will be available in 4-6 weeks.
Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot digital. There is just so much more freedom with digital. In the past if I photographed an image in black and white, it would only be available in black and white. With digital that's all changed. I can now shoot an image in color, and give you the photograph in color, black and white, or even sepia.
Do you shoot posed portraits as well as your documentary coverage?
I photograph a blend of traditional posed portraits as well as candid documentary coverage. The number of posed portraits is really up to you, and the amount of time you would like to set aside on your day to take family portraits.
How much time should we allocate for our family portraits?
On average it takes about 2 minutes per posed portrait, so if you have 30 portraits you would like to take, be sure to set aside about an hour for photographs.
Do you offer custom packages?
I do offer custom packages, and I'd be happy to create a package that works for you as a couple.
Can we order online?
All of my packages include online viewing and ordering. You and your family and friends can easily order reprints online from the convenience of your home.
What is a Print Credit?
A print credit is basically like a gift certificate good for a certain amount of photography related products. Print credits are great because they allow you to use the credits towards any number of things. You can order 4x6 proof prints, enlargements for you wall, small coffee table books or even photo thank you cards. The options are varied, and it's all up to what you want. That's what makes it easy.
What is an Album Credit?
An album credit is included in your package, and is redeemable towards the purchase of any album. If you decide to upgrade your package by adding an album, the credit is discounted from the total. If you do not decide to order an album, don't worry there are no additional fees.
Do you do Engagement Sessions?
Yes, an Engagement Session is included in some packages, and can be added onto any package for a $ upgrade. The session usually lasts about an hour and can include multiple locations and wardrobe changes, and comes with a DVD set of digital negatives, and online viewing.
Do you do Portrait Sessions/Packages?
Portrait session packages start at $ and include various items. Feel free to contact the studio for more information.
